All of the items on this page have been made for the Huntsville Botanical Garden Gift Shop. The wood comes from an approximately 120 year old dogwood tree that died in early 2011. This tree, known as the "Grand Old Lady," was transplanted from a Madison County farm to the Botanical Garden in the early 1990s. Cuttings from the Grand Old Lady were propagated by the Garden and are now growing around the spot she lived the last years of her life.
